I thought that title was appropriate on many levels: 1) I'm home 2) Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie and 3) something that makes me feel at home starts today!
So, I got permission to skip practice on Saturday and migrated down south for a few days. Right now, my mom is making me brunch...french toast (yummmmmm). Its good to be spoiled!
And...

PITCHERS AND CATCHERS REPORT FOR SPRING TRAINING TODAY! You know how you get attached to things and they "feel like home" to you? That's the Minnesota Twins for me. Watching, listening, or reading about the Twins makes me feel all homey and warm and cuddly on the inside. I'm so excited! I literally have a smile on my face and giggling while I'm typing this (and getting strange looks from my parents as well...) I love baseball. This is relatively new realization for me in say, oh, the past 3 years or so. And while my obsession of Joe Mauer (and now Kevin Slowey also) may have something to do with that, its something much bigger than that. I can't explain it but when the Twins are in season, everything seems right in my world.
