Sorry about the lack of posts! I'll do better, I promise. Scouts honor.
Before I ever came to school in the tundra, I never thought a whole town could have seasonal affect disorder. Believe me people, it's possible. If you don't know what SAD is and care, read below. If not, skip to the next paragraph. According to Mayo Clinic, SAD is:
Like many people, you may develop cabin fever during the winter months. Or you may find yourself eating more or sleeping more when the temperature drops and darkness falls earlier. While those are common and normal reactions to the changing seasons, people with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) experience a much more serious reaction when summer shifts to fall and on to winter.
With seasonal affective disorder, fall's short days and long nights may trigger feelings of depression, lethargy, fatigue and other problems. Don't brush this off as simply a case of the "winter blues" that you have to tough out on your own.
Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression, and it can severely impair your daily life. That said, treatment — which may include light box therapy — can help you successfully manage seasonal affective disorder. You don't have to dread the dawning of each fall or winter.
And yes, a WHOLE TOWN can be affected by it!
But no more! It got to 63 degrees today! 63 DEGREES! Fahrenheit! And football has been practicing outside so I'm getting some sun...although only on my face!
Anywho... I haven't blogged since TWINS BASEBALL started! YAY! I am so excited! I am quickly falling in love with some players *cough, Span, Slowey, cough* I LOVE Kevin Slowey! And am loving Denard Span as well! But one major ingredient is missing. JOE MAUER! Come back soon! I MISS JOE! COME BACK SOON JOE!
I stayed up in Grand Forks over Easter. Wha, whaw... Oh well, I was able to have dinner with one of my friends so I wasn't totally alone.
I haven't talked to Kayt in a long time so I don't really have an update for you on her. Hope everything is well you readers (yes all two of you!)
