Swine Flu!

Sorry about the long delay between posts. I've been super busy lately. Here's whats been going down lately...
-Swine flu. Please don't get it, and if you do, don't give it to me, I have a compromised immune system.
-JOE MAUER IS BACK TONIGHT! YAY! So I'm being awesome and watching baseball on a Friday night. I don't even care. I LOVE JOE! And Kevin Slowey is pitching tonight so all the much better!
- Tomorrow is the Big Event. For those of you who don't know, the Big Event is our university's way of giving back to the community. You sign up in groups and each group gets assigned tasks like cleaning churches, parks, people's homes, etc, etc. I am in an athletic training group - which has been put at the same sight as two other athletic teams (football and baseball) because they thought we would know them and have more fun this way. Yeah, it will be fun, especially since I'm with the football team right now BUT, I see these guys everyday already. Oh well, it should be interesting!
-Thursday is PARTY BUS! This year's theme is Disney characters. I will be Mrs. Incredible.
-Only four days of classes, and then finals! This year has gone so fast! I'm halfway through with my undergraduate already.
-Alex and I are looking for apartments (we are willing to take donations...)
-I have a few summer jobs. Growing up sucks, I don't want to pay for rent!
-Downy Winkle Releaser is the BEST THING EVER! I use it every day
-I bought grape Kool-Aid packets. Not as great as I remembered as a child.
-I have played more "name game", "alphabet game", "I spy", "Shag, kill, marry", and "initial game" in the past few days in the training room then I care to remember. You know its a problem when the athletes can walk in and immediately know what you are playing and join in.

Thats all for now. Time for TWINS BASEBALL! GO JOE and KEVIN!

Seasonal Affect Disorders!

Sorry about the lack of posts! I'll do better, I promise. Scouts honor.

Before I ever came to school in the tundra, I never thought a whole town could have seasonal affect disorder. Believe me people, it's possible. If you don't know what SAD is and care, read below. If not, skip to the next paragraph. According to Mayo Clinic, SAD is:

Like many people, you may develop cabin fever during the winter months. Or you may find yourself eating more or sleeping more when the temperature drops and darkness falls earlier. While those are common and normal reactions to the changing seasons, people with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) experience a much more serious reaction when summer shifts to fall and on to winter.
With seasonal affective disorder, fall's short days and long nights may trigger feelings of depression, lethargy, fatigue and other problems. Don't brush this off as simply a case of the "winter blues" that you have to tough out on your own.
Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression, and it can severely impair your daily life. That said, treatment — which may include light box therapy — can help you successfully manage seasonal affective disorder. You don't have to dread the dawning of each fall or winter
.

And yes, a WHOLE TOWN can be affected by it!

But no more! It got to 63 degrees today! 63 DEGREES! Fahrenheit! And football has been practicing outside so I'm getting some sun...although only on my face!

Anywho... I haven't blogged since TWINS BASEBALL started! YAY! I am so excited! I am quickly falling in love with some players *cough, Span, Slowey, cough* I LOVE Kevin Slowey! And am loving Denard Span as well! But one major ingredient is missing. JOE MAUER! Come back soon! I MISS JOE! COME BACK SOON JOE!

I stayed up in Grand Forks over Easter. Wha, whaw... Oh well, I was able to have dinner with one of my friends so I wasn't totally alone.

I haven't talked to Kayt in a long time so I don't really have an update for you on her. Hope everything is well you readers (yes all two of you!)
